Subject: Partitions, and partitions..

I've just installed netbsd-current (yes, I do know what that means)
for the first time, and have a couple of questions about dealing with
partitions. First, the OS layout on the system is:

wd0: Windows/FreeBSD-stable/Linux/FreeBSD-current
wd1: Solaris 8/NetBSD-current/FAT partition

I'm using GRUB on wd0 to boot everything, and it mostly
works. "Mostly" leads to the first question:

The GENERIC NetBSD kernel comes up not knowing the boot disk, and
needing to be told where it's root is. Can someone provide the
appropriate GRUB commands to tell the NetBSD kernel where it's root
is? Or must I build a custom config for this?

The second question is those two FreeBSD partitions. The kernel finds
the -current root for wd0a; I want access to the -stable root (that's
where the GRUB boot menu is). Does someone have a writeup on how
NetBSD and FreeBSD partitions tables interact on a shared disk?

	Thanx,
