hi,
im trying to figure out why i get such shocking speeds through a
built-in interface on a mac powerbook. it could have to do with my
-old- hub, but im not sure :)
what does this mean, thru ifconfig? ( the >> << bit)
bm0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
address: 00:05:02:4d:03:43
this >> media: Ethernet 10baseT (none) <<<
inet 192.168.0.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.0.255
inet6 fe80::205:2ff:fe4d:343%bm0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1
i also notice i get the same on a non-configured device:
ep1: flags=8822<BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
address: 00:60:97:8f:e9:3f
media: Ethernet 10baseT (none)
really im just curious. i'm trying to get my cardbus 3Com
3CCFE575BT-D to work, but 1.5H didn't recognise it.. has anyone seen
one of these? i'd be willing to ship it somewhere or do *something*
if someone felt like writing support for this card (!!)
:)
this is what 1.5ALPHA2 says when i insert it, same as 1.5H btw:
(manufacturer 0x0, product 0x0) Motorola MPC106 "Grackle" Host Bridge
(host brid
ge, revision 0x40) at cardbus1 dev 0 function 0 not configured
hope someone can help,
c.
