Yes, but you need some tricks: the booted kernel is not on the root raid disk,
but on a different partition (i.e. the kernel takes a different device as
root than the one it booted from).
What I do it setup a boot partition with the same kernel on both disks I use
for the raid-1 root device. This way if disk0 fail I can boot from disk 1.
