Hi All,

I seem to be having samba performance problems with NetBSD 1.3F, and
I'm hoping someone here has an answer for me (I've already sent mail to
the samba list, but this seems to be a NetBSD problem, which will be
explained below).

The NetBSD 1.3F box is arm32 based, and it is runing samba 2.0.6.
I map the exported shares to driver letters on an NT 4 Server box.
Attempts to open files via these shares seem to take an exceedingly
long time (30-60 seconds), during which time the smbd process is
chewing up 100% of the CPU.

Now, I have another box, running NetBSD 1.4, on x86. It has
samba 2.0.5a on it, with the identical smb.conf setup. Opening files
on it is instantaneous, which is why I'm fairly sure this is a
NetBSD 1.3F issue.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before? Or
if anyone has something I can try?

Thanks!
Pete

P.S. Anyone know a threads library that will run on NetBSD/arm32.
PTL2 works OK, I'm just wondering if there are any alternatives.
