after trying snmpd i came back to mrtg..
made myself a /usr/pkg/etc/mrtg/mrtg.conf,
nearly identical to the mrtg.conf.example
(i did replace [network] w/ [network1] and [network2])
i've got the thingy going on localhost. ;) almost w/o any work.
