I thought I had read all of the relevant documentation and set the
configuration files properly, but I can't seem to get wscons to display any
virtual terminal properly in 50 line mode.

In my kernel configuration file, I have enabled the following wscons options:

options	WSEMUL_VT100 # VT100/VT200 emulation
options	WSDISPLAY_COMPAT_PCVT	# emulate some ioctls
options	WSDISPLAY_COMPAT_SYSCONS	# emulate some ioctls
options	WSDISPLAY_COMPAT_USL	# VT handling
options	WSDISPLAY_COMPAT_RAWKBD	# can get raw scancodes
options	WSCONS_SUPPORT_PCVTFONTS

vga* at pci?
wsdisplay*	at vga? console ?

In my /etc/wscons.conf file, I have enabled the ibm font "vt220l.808" and
the pcvt font "vt220h.808", and have set up screens 1-4 as "80x50 vt100".

When the system boots up, I have all of the virtual consoles, but the fonts
are incorrect--the 80x50 screens are still using the 8x16 font, of which
only the top half of the characters is displayed, making many of the
characters ambiguous. What could I have missed?

If it makes any difference, my video chipset is ATI Rage Pro (specifically,
the XPert 98).

Also, I couldn't find any way to configure the console terminal to 50 line
mode. Can this be done?
