now that the scanner is working there is a new project and a new
question :)

Where does vm_offset_t get defined? I grep'ed through the
/sys and /usr/include filesystem but haven't had much luck.

I suspect it to be
typedef u_long vm_offset_t;

Sysinfo: NetBSD-1.4.1-i386
