Is here document functionality broken in 1.4's ftp? Running, e.g., 

ftp localhost << EOF
ls
cd ..
ls 
EOF

works fine on my 1.3.3. boxes, but errors out on my sole 1.4 box with:

Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.
?Invalid command.
221 Goodbye.

Is anybody else having this problem?
