Can anybody figure out why the following panic occurs when a shutdown is
performed while X Windows is running? This doesn't occur if I shutdown
after closing X.

It might help to know that my kernel is configured with kernel debugging
enabled. The kernel is built from the NetBSD 1.4Beta sources dated
April 23.

Another, possibly unrelated, problem which I have seen since NetBSD1.2
(as is still present) is that I am often unable to start xdm without
inserting some delays in the startup scripts. Without the delays, the
system hangs either during Xsetup or Xsession in the middle of starting
up some applications; I can shut down the server, but no new processes
are exec'ed, and I can't even telnet in remotely.

trouble running pppd on tty0"), I cannot retreive my email. Please post
