I installed 1.4beta on a 40Mb drive. This need some tweaks though, the
standart install overflows the disk (I got to rm /usr/share and re-extract
the base set with excluding /usr/share). With 125Mb you should have less
problems.
8Mb is enouth to run it, but not for the standard, 2 floppies install
procedure. You'll have to try the small or tiny installs floppies.
