G'day,

MySQL doesn't seem to create the sock /tmp/msql.sock (or
/var/run/mysql.sock) when running on NetBSD. The documentation
explains that MySQL compiled with mit-pthreads on FreeBSD doesn't
support sockets. This holds true for NetBSD too since it uses the
mit-pthreads.

Now then, I have an application which relies on the socket. Is there
a way to compile MySQL with socket enabled on NetBSD?

Looking forward to hearing from you
