Hello all,

I'm having some problems with Emacs (v 20.3) and XEmacs (v 20.4). I've
been trying to build both of these packages on NetBSD i386 1.3.2 - to no
avail. Both packages build up to the temacs stage and then - nada. I
cannot get temacs to dump emacs or xemacs. I get a "Dumping emacs..."
message and nothing happens. It just sits there forever (it seems like it
anyway). I let the process run almost *all day*, and it finally
completed, and when I install and try to run emacs or xemacs, nothing
happens at all - I get no error messages no window in X Window, and no
console emacs when run from a prompt. I tried to get around all this by
downloading and installing the emacs 20.3 package from the NetBSD package
collection, but, once again, when I try to run it, nothing. I don't know
if it's an emacs/xemacs problem, or a NetBSD problem. Has anyone
experienced this?

Oh, one other thing - when I try to dial out with pppd, there is a REALLY
long wait. pppd eventually dials, but it takes 30 seconds to one minute
to dial. Anyone experience this?

Well, that's about all. Thanks in advance.
