Hello, all.

I'm trying to get NetBSD installed on my SparcStation 2 at home. It has 32
MB RAM, a Quantum Empire 1080S 1GB SCSI drive on SCSI ID 0, 2 Seagate
ST15500N 2GB drives on SCSI IDs 1 and 2, a Toshiba SCSI CD-ROM drive on SCSI
ID 6, a cgsix frame buffer, and a 10baseT transceiver on the AUI port. This
box had a previous life as a SunOS 4.1.4 machine, with the exact same
hardware (only config difference being the Quantum was on SCSI ID 3 for Sun
reasons) and no problems.

While trying to install NetBSD 1.3.2 via the miniroot, I've been getting
some weird lockups. My box will lock completely up after a random amount of
time -- 15 to 20 minutes or so, never at one stage in the install process.
It locks up so badly that not even STOP-A works; I have to physically
powercycle the box in order to get it working again.

The only thing that I can see that I changed was resetting the Quantum from
SCSI ID 3 to 0 so that I could eventually have a normal SCSI probe sequence
when I got as far as re-building the kernel.

Has anyone else had any problems similiar to this, and if so, what was your
fix?

Thanks.
