I just installed an Adaptec 2944UW and a Quantum Atlas II 4GB Wide
Differential drive into a NetBSD/i386 1.3.2 system that boots from an
IDE drive.  I'm having trouble getting a disklabel onto the drive.

I'm accustomed to just using 'disklabel -e' to edit the fictitious
label write it to the disk, but I get the following error:

  disklabel: ioctl DIOCWDINFO: No disk label on disk;
  use "disklabel -r" to install initial label

An attempt to use disklabel with the -r flag gives:

  disklabel: no disk label

What am I doing wrong?
