i use ntpdate with the following two internet hosts:

tick.usno.navy.mil
tock.usno.navy.mil

I beliueve they both support ntp, but only one supports the simple text
readout (telnet to port 13) and each has their own specialized supported
services..  

anyway, they're quite reliable and I've never had a problem with them.
