I have recently set up NetBSD 1.3.1 on an i386 compatible. It works
well except for one thing: I cannot get the tty ports enabled for
login. I'd like to do that, since I don't have a monitor attached to
the system and I would like to configure tty00 as the console.

I have enabled tty00 and tty01 for login in /etc/ttys, but getty seems
to hang. ps -lx reports:

The port echoes everything I type on the terminal intelligently - I
can press enter and get a new line (cr-lf) and I can delete what I
type with DEL.

I have tried switching the i/o card with another one.

If I disable login, "echo hello world > /dev/tty00" simply hangs (it
hangs too when login is enabled).

Below are my boot messages (I haven't got enough diskspace to store
the sources and rebuild the kernel yet, therefore the GENERIC kernel -
I don't assume that that has anything to say).
