While my system is booting, after the
DHCPREQUEST on ae1 to 24.128.1.34 port 67
message on the boot log (I'm using DHCP with a cable modem),
the next line says something like
"cant connect to sysconf socket"
then it proceeds with
DHCPACK from 24.128.1.34
bound to <my IP> -- renewal in 10800 seconds
and then the rest of the "normal" boot messages.

any idea what this means or where I can look to track it down?

its on a mac68k 1.3 system.
