Moving from one problem to the next ...

I have copied over the latest version of Apache on my NetBSD/sparc box,
compiled
it up and installed it.  The problem is when I run it, it tells me that the
selected port is
in use when it tries to bind and exits.  This happens when I run it by hand
or through
inetd.

What incredibly obvious thing have I misconfigured :-)
