Pine and Sendmail seem to be behaving better for no apparent reason (still
nothing in syslog) - however, X is acting up a bit...

[brian@talon ~]$ exec startx
/usr/libexec/ld.so: xinit: libXext.so.6.1: No such file or directory.

[brian@talon ~]$ ldd `which xinit`
	-lXmu.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXmu.so.6.0 (0x4040000)
	-lXext.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.so.6.1 (0x4060000)
	-lXt.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXt.so.6.0 (0x4070000)
	-lX11.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6.1 (0x40c0000)
	-lc.12 => /usr/lib/libc.so.12.5 (0x4160000)
	-lXext.6 => not found (0x0)
	-lXt.6 => not found (0x0)
	-lX11.6 => not found (0x0)

Why is ldd showing two different X[ext,t,11] libraries and that one
thereof is not found?

I can, however, do the following and have X work:
[root@talon /home/brian]# ldconfig /usr/X11R6/lib
[root@talon /home/brian]# ^D
[brian@talon ~]$ startx

After the ldconfig, the duplicate references disappear. er, what's going
on?

tia,

brian
