As Paul said, you'd be well off with the binary release of X,
and if you want Open Look, you can find it at ftp.x.org in contrib
buried somewhere as XView. This is not xview, the alias to xloadimage,
of course. It comes in three packages, all of which are useful,
and they are large, and will be painful to compile on the Classic.

But they will compile, without too many problems, so have a good time.

Also look for the hungry programmers' LessTif package, which is
in a sort of beta now, and runs on a variety of platforms. It
gives you a sort-of-mwm interface with a decent representation
of libXm and many motif things.

Fvwm95-2 compiles on many systems, and is a pain in the a__,
in my opinion, and I'll be shot by the fv-police for saying that.

X will give you twm, which should be replaced immediately.

And, if you like to futz, koala.inria.fr has a package produced
by Julian Gosnell that provides a programmable window manager with
various extras called gwm. If you are familiar with scheme, you'll
love it. I'd use it if I had more time.
