Howdy:

Following the advice of folks, I changed the line to:
options EXTMEM_SIZE=130048 # size of extended memory
(from /sys/arch/i386/conf/GERBILS1.2)

and modified /sys/arch/i386/include/pmap.h as such
#define	NKPDE		24

This made everything happy.

On monday or tuesday, I will try the same thing with a 256M P6. Ought
to be interesting.
