Would anyone like to help me solve why the Make session
"make beforeinstall" with the makefile /usr/share/doc/smm/Makefile
causes my machine to crash.

I'm only running the Generic kernal at the mo with the standard
binary distribution. I was trying to find some documentation
about kernal configuring / maintaing before I had a go at
it. So as a complete newbe to these sorts of problems I'll need
some help. If soemone would like to guide me i'll pass them more
details and I have the Kernal dumps to examine. The panic message
given was "panic: locking against myself"
