i'm trying to build ssh on a 1.2/sparc system (stock binaries and
kernel) on an SS1. it gets up to running ranlib, and then dies on a
signal 10. i checked it out (since i didn't know what a signal 10 was
=), and it's giving a bus error and a core dump.

i don't have the sources on the machine yet, so i haven't tried
rebuilding the binary with debugging symbols... which i'll do if
necessary, but i thought i'd ask first to see if anyone knew what the
problem was. (perhaps ranlib is broken in this distrubution, e.g...)

any ideas?
