So I just SUPped -current sources, and didn't get
/usr/src/domestic/usr.bin/[passwd login]. Upon looking at ftp.netbsd.org I
find the following:

netbsd:...NetBSD-current/src/domestic/usr.bin> ls -la
total 56
drwx------   3 234  netbsd   512 Jan  7 20:36 login/
drwx------   3 234  netbsd   512 Jan  7 20:36 passwd/

what's the reason for this? It's kinda hard to 'make build' and not have
this stuff....
