Subject: mountd forking madly? (WRT diskless boot setup)

Mountd forks madly on my 3/60 (sun3 port) while I'm working on setting up
diskless boot. It worked ONCE, for some reason, while there were a couple
of copies of mountd running.. (???? Mysterious evils of having multiple
daemons on the same port...) Now, however, it fails at the point where it
should be mounting the kernel and root partition and booting. I'm rather
confused as to why it is spawning enough copies of mountd to fill up all of
the process table entries.
Any ideas or reports of this behavior before that anyone can remember? I'm
going to check the PR's here in a moment.
