I think we used lpdaemon for awhile at where we used to work when
all we had was a Mac printer. (Four people at the time... now there
are 70+ ;-) 
  It didn't work too well; the Mac would have to be restarted every
day or two to restore the Unix people's ability to print. You get what
you pay for.
