Folks,
I have a strange problem with my ESDI drives in my Pentium 100
box. The story is that I had one Wren VI (330MB esdi hard disk) which
has been working ok for quite a while. On the weekeend I added
another Wren VI to the controller, did some file system fiddling - all
seemed fine. Now, after the second drive was added my machine will
not make it up into multi-user mode, it gets up to checking the file
systems and then dies with continuous wdc_error messages scrolling up
the screen. Yet if I boot to single user I can fsck the disk fine, if
I then continue the boot from the single user by logging out the
machine comes up fine and runs without a problem. I have tried two
different Wren VI's as wd1 and both have the same problem. Anyone
else seen this???

BTW Yes, the termination of the ESDI disks is correct, and the disk
id's are ok.
