I see nothing in /sys/net/*ppp* to indicate RFC1717 Multilink PPP
support.  I do see support for RFC1144 "VJ" TCP header compression and
"BSD" PPP compression (draft-ietf-pppext-bsd-compress-05.txt), each of
which has its own advantages.
