On my NetBSD 1.1 systems, the /etc/ppp/pap-secrets file looks like
this (the names have been changed to protect the innocent):

# login-name remote-machine password
mymachine%ppp		othersite	cleverpassword

I log in to only one system, so I use a `remotename othersite' in
my /etc/ppp/options file, and a `user mymachine%ppp'.
