The LFS code in NetBSD is currently broken beyond usefulness.  The key 
piece of information you need to actually create the filesystem is 
newlfs(8), which should work; and while you might actually get it 
mounted, it will hang any process trying to write to it.  The resulting 
unkillable process can only be cleared by rebooting the system.

Sorry to break the bad news.  I'm hoping one day that it will work...
