I'm configuring DNS as described in the PH's Unix System Administration
Handbook and in the O'Really's TCP/IP Network Administration.

As described in the Unix S.A.H. the file resolv.conf may cause an
unrecoverable hostname reference while tring to contact DNS.
So, to fix this they say to use explicit IP addresses in the early stages
of the boot process.
Well, I temporally modified the /etc/netstart to use a my file
/etc/myname.addr containig the IP of /etc/myname, but the problem still
persist.

The problem I have is that all the machine is slowed-down.
For example, when completed the login procedures (username and passwd) I
have to wait about a minute to get the prompt (I have a pure A4000 with
Ariadne board).

The problem disappear if I hide the resolv.conf file.

P.S: I obviously enabled the "named" daemon and configured the related files.
