Hi,
I try to maintain the current source via sup using the allsrc collection.
Previously, this has worked ok with only changed files being sent.
Recently, I have had problems, although I haven't changed anything in
my setup. Now sup runs through the whole source tree and reports that
every file and directory is being updated. Every message takes one ping
time which means that it takes several hours to go through the entire
tree even if no new files are actually received. The problem with this
(apart from simply the time involved) is that:
a) German Telekom charges around three Dollars an hour for local calls
during the day.
b) German white noise supplies (oops, I mean phone lines) are generally
incapable of staying up for more that an hour or so.
I know other people who are experiencing the same problems, which would
seem to imply some change has occurred at the netbsd.org end. Do you
have any idea how we can prevent all these updates occurring?
I have tried turning various options such as old and delete on and off
but it seems to have no effect.
Thanks
Stuart Arnold
