Subject: TERMCAP environment not good anymore.

Yesterday when I tried to call up an xterm from another xterm it died
with a Bus Error message. In spite of me not knowing what I'm doing I
narrowed it down to the presence of a TERMCAP entry in any shell's
envirnonment (it's not just xterm that dies but a program that uses
curses when run from the console).

I put: unsetenv TERMCAP in both my .login and .cshrc to get rid of the
TERMCAP entry and everything works fine now.

My question is: What went wrong? Why is TERMCAP getting initialized
improperly? Is something else wrong?
