Not bad, either of you!

Currently I only get 150k/sec on the NE2000 (the real thing) in my NetBSD 
1.0 machine I'm using till I get some new hardware.

That's icky.

When I first committed the if_ep driver into the tree, I was running
ttcp between two identical machines both with 3c509's and NetBSD 0.8
and was seeing rates of ~1010kb/sec.

Of coures, FTP is not a good performance benchmark.
