No msdosfs support is necessary for this (AFAIK), you just have to set
up your disklabel properly. If you can find the starting points of
the "volume(s)" in the extended partition, then you can use that to
generate offset(s) for your disklabel.
Use dd and the raw d: partition on the disk to see if you can find the
BPB (boot parameter block) for the DOS volume.
