ftp.leo.org:/pub/comp/networking/communication/modem/mgetty is the master
site, maybe you find a mirror near you (we have a 34MBit wire to munich :-)
-rw-rw-r-- 1 10987 public 432443 Jun 30 18:04 mgetty097-Jun30.tar.gz
-rw-rw-r-- 1 10987 public 332278 Jul 5 20:28 mgetty097doc.tar.gz
is probably what you are looking for.

At this very moment vgetty lurks on callers on my phone at home from a
-current box. All I did is change the policy.h according to my modem -
obviously a lot of things got fixed / added on the way to -current :-)

Hope this helps at least a little bit.
