Well people, thanks, I got it to work, but not by nay suggestions.

I got frustrated, and did another DOS fdisk.  I delete the DOS partition,
made a new one, reformatted the drive and all is good.  Mounted right up.

Thanks for all the help, at least I learned more about disk partition and
how BSD handles them.
