I am trying to set up a modem with netbsd 1.0 in order to use it for
both dialin and dialout. Is that possible?

Secondly, if I set it up for dialin, I need to set the modem to keep
the CD line low until a call arrives (I presume). The side effect of
this is that I cannot connect to the modem (say via tip or kermit) in
order to reconfigure the modem. Using stty -f /dev/modem CLOCAL won't
prevent blocking on the opening of the device. Is there another means
of doing this? What am I missing?

Thanks for your help.
