// I have heard throught the rumor mill that you can (-today-) purchase
// PPC PCI-bus motherboards from Motorola. What OS you are going to run
// on it is still in the air considering IBM is still deep in beta for
//  WPOS (OS/2 for PPC).
//
// I will jump for joy when NetBSD is ported to PPC.

I just spoke to my local Motorola sales critter, who will be sending me
additional literature, but the basic gist is that PPC603 and 604 based
hardware, in a PC form factor motherboard as well as in complete systems
(SCSI, Ethernet, etc) with ISA/PCI bus are available now. Supported OS's
include AIX 4.1 and one to be announced at Comdex (soonish). These boxes
are PReP compliant, inasmuch as PReP 2.0 is being worked on now and
incomplete.

Cost is in the $3200-$3500 range for a usable system. I don't know what
all is in this box. If people are interested, I'll send out a summary of
the lit that I get.
