 I have updated the ZuluSCSI github issue.  I have offered a patch that I 
 am using that fixes this issue for me (only tested on MacOS 7.x so far, 
 but since it's a firmware patch it should be OS agnostic).  Essentially 
 the Pi Pico wifi didn't want to reassociate after being timed out.  Both 
 my test OS'es were "too quiet".  The patch disables power saving and sends 
 dummy frames every 120 sec. as a keepalive.
 
 tldr - not a NetBSD issue - we can close.  If nothing else this bug can 
 serve someone in the future troubleshooting this behavior.  Sorry for the 
 noise.
