Can you try NetBSD 11_RC5 from today's 2026-07-05 07:38:25 UTC
build?   In that version I expect that the "efi -v" issue should
be fixed (no longer cause a core dump anyway).   Unfortunately
I no longer have any EFI variables in the format which causes
the problem to test it properly (but the change did work, back
when I did).
