>Organization:
>Environment:
NetBSD-11.0_RC1 (built from netbsd-11 source as of 20260301)
>Description:
When run from amd64 installation ISO, sysinst complains about not existing base32. This could be related to:
"Compatibility libraries (for 32-bit binaries on 64-bit platforms, and 64-bit binaries on MIPS) have been split into new base32/base64, debug32/debug64 sets." from the release notes.
While I fully understand the rationale behind keeping the ISO images small and having base32 excluded on a 64 bit build, the current sysinst behavior will bite a lot users unexpected. I guess the same will apply for the Installation with X11.
>How-To-Repeat:
- boot install ISO
- select defaults
- in Distribution set main selection: select "Installation without X11"
>Fix:
Probably a specific override in md.h(usr.sbin/sysinst/arch/amd64) ?
