sheridan$ sudo lvm lvremove vg0/reporoot
  /dev/rsd0a: open failed: Operation not permitted
  /dev/rsd0e: open failed: Operation not permitted
  Logical volume "reporoot" successfully removed

Either:

(a) these error messages mean something went wrong, in which case the last line is wrong and I need to know what remedial action to take; or
(b) these error messages are spurious, in which case it is harmful to print them because it leads to warning fatigue.
