NetBSD rvm0.internal 10.1 NetBSD 10.1 (GENERIC) #0: Mon Dec 16 13:08:11 UTC 2024 mkrepro%mkrepro.NetBSD.org@localhost:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC amd64
>Description:
When installing pkgsrc from the install DVD (sysinst), the extracted directory has invalid user-id, group-id, and permissions.

- The user id is set to 600 (srcmastr)
- The group id is set to 125 (netbsd)
- The permissions are set to 0775 instead of 0755.

That last part causes checkperms to report a warning with "group-writable directory" when building a pkgsrc pacakge.

The problem has already been reported in #48365, but that PR didn't mention the permissions/warning issue.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install NetBSD on a machine, and use the "Fetch and unpack pkgsrc for building from source" option in the "System configuration" menu of the installer (https://www.netbsd.org/docs/guide/en/chap-exinst.html#exinst-system-configuration).
>Fix:
The installer should correct the permissions immediately after the file extraction, before returning to the installation menu.
