does netbsd has boot -c feature?
I decided to switch to OpenBSD and I have got exactly the same problem,
except the device that causes flickering bug didnt show up on dmesg. I
fixed it by typing boot -c, disable pchb and then quit.
I think I'll install NetBSD and try again with boot -c
