Okay if we close this old ticket? I put in feedback state even though not solved.
Since then that code has been significantly rewritten
(and replaced in latest releases but not in NetBSD yet).
I didn't try to figure out what version of named was in the that 8.0_BETA
.
I do know we had some custom changes there.
