Re: kern/57790: Kernel panic on install



I also had random deadlocks when copying between two USB devices when using 9.3 amd64 under virtualbox (windows and macos), which didn’t occur under the beta version of 10.0

In the tests, you don’t appear to attempt to boot the distribution ISO.   Lot of tests, but somehow this isn’t working….  It’s not a problem for older versions of Netbsd, and !!!

****** further testing shows that it will boot to upgrade a 9.3 image. And after that, I can’t replicate it again.  Not even with a scratch qcow2 disk …. Don’t know what to say.

But maybe the panic line is helpful:

It could be something with Xen…. Xen doesn’t clean up well after domains…
