System: NetBSD system 9.3 NetBSD 9.3 (KERNEL1) #1: Sun Oct 29 16:52:03 CEST 2022 build@dc:/usr/kernel/obj/sys/arch/amd64/compile/KERNEL1 amd64
Architecture: x86_64
Machine: amd64
>Description:
kernel panicked while transferring files and directories from corrupted disk (9.9.100 FFSv2) to a new healthy disk (9.3 FFSv2). transfer was done from live netbsd 9.9.100 running in memory. after first dump, rebooted to new healthy disk installation and trying to access the directory that was copied from corrupted disk with cd(1) or ls(1) will also panic. retested about 7 times to verify, happened until running fsck on the new disk that successfully removed directory in question. since 9.9.100 live image also panicked, the problem also exists on current branch, however the traceback below is from a 9.3 if i remember correctly.

Please understand i do not have a saved system state to easily test, but if needed have some ideas on recreating conditions in test environment.
