If it were the host running Nagios (or another guest), I'd guess some

  misconfiguration of the guest volumes, like overlapping partitions.
  But if the guest is running Nagios it is probably corrupting the
  filesystem itself.

Guest is running Nagios. Will try to rebuild, or delete and install itagain. Maybe something went off during updates of NetBSD and Nagios.
