re: kern/56542: radeon drawing updates sometimes slow in X

i've been seeing slowness on radeon since at least 2015 particular
when switching virtual desktops.  it acts as if the X server and
the applications are swapped out, almost, the re-draw is so slow
and visible.

it happens pretty infrequently for me, and i have not found any
cause in my various investigations.


i wonder if setting HZ=1000 makes the problem less severe.
